Avid Microchip Transponder Implant (also known as microchip or PIT tag)
Cattle, Swine, Fish, Sheep, Goats, Elk, Deer, Bison, Alpacas, Llamas, exotic animals among others.
Avid transponder implants offer economic, permanent, positive and safe identification for a variety of species. The implant is easy to administer and convenient to read with Avid handheld readers. It features an electronic transponder sealed in a glass capsule coated with Parylene C (a compound compatible with living cells which invites normal tissue growth around the device). The implant has no batteries to replace or moving parts that wear out thereby offering long term identification. Once within the reader's electromagnetic field, the implant is energized and transmits unique ID number to the Avid reader in milliseconds. EZid recommends implant sites for livestock/food animals that meet the FSIS (1996) guidelines (contact us for a copy).
EZid offers microchip transponder in 125 kHz or 134.2 kHz frequency coded microchips and tags. The commonly used 125 kHz code (9 and 10 digit numbers) is the secure Avid Encrypted, Euro, an FECAVA code. We also offer the 15 digits ISO 134.2 kHz (fdx-b) code. Call the office with any questions regarding code at 877-330-3943.
