The EZid rumen bolus has been developed to permanently identify ruminants with an ID bolus that lodges in the reticulum. The EZid bolus features AVID electronics sealed within biocompatible ceramic. It is engineered to provide a sophisticated, tamperproof, yet economical method of employing radio frequency for permanent, positive and safe identification. The EZid bolus exemplifies superior performance, reliability and long term retention. We recommend the bolus when positive identification is important.
The EZid rumen bolus is administered with the V-handle balling gun. The bolus can be read with either the appropriate Avid Power Tracker hand held reader or the dual mode stationary readers that read ISO compliant tags. The V-handle Balling Gun has been designed specifically for the EZid rumen bolus. It is made of stainless steel with specially designed high impact plastic handle. Pictured above is standard bolus administration method.
